We provide a dialup internet service. This allows access to the internet using a conventional modem. We make no charge for dialup, but your telephone provider is likely to charge you for the call to an 0845 number.
The dialup number for ISDN access is 0845 080 4469
The dialup number for modem (up to 56K) access is 0845 080 4464
We can provide specific dialup login for you. You can also use your normal ADSL login - taking over your normal ADSL IP addresses. This is useful as a backup. (In order to use dialup using your ADSL login, you'd either need a seperate IP address, or set your existing WAN address to include option 'D' for Dialup. - This is set on the ADSL Control Pages, but do contact support if you need any help setting it up.)
Our dialup services are fixed IP only, and can have a block of IP addresses if required.
At present we are operating the dialup via our old router (fearless). We plan to move this to the new core router which is the same one used for our broadband access. This will allow you to individually configure if dialup takes precidence over broadband, or the other way around. This will also allow bonding and fallback of multiple dialup lines in the same way a broadband (not MLPPP). The new router will even provide native IPv6 for dialup. We will provide updates on our status page when this is changed.
In the mean time it is essential to set up your dialup configuration so that it does not try and use compression or log in to a microsoft network as this does not negotiate with our old router.
